Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a child of a mixed-race family from South London in England. Her father is Nigerian as well as Swiss, while the mother of her is English. She was born on the South London Council Estate, and then went to The Brit School aged 14. She went to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an acting BA. At school, she was a part-time actor in a variety of stage productions like King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe launched her acting career in the film Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances in guest roles in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion-picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Following that success her role was Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside in the role of Ollie. She was Bambi as Bambi in the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe officially made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes at The CW, and was eventually cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe's exit from the series was confirmed in May 2013. Following two seasons as the main character she made a guest performance in the very first episode of season three. From 2014 to 2016, she starred in Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe was married to her long-time lover, Iddo. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked in tandem on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had a part alongside her in the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was born into a huge family living in Hamilton, Ontario. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty as well her older siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. All of her brothers were athletic and played baseball and hockey during the winter as well as in the summer. They grew up playing stadiums and played baseball. Ashley did not walk, but she was a dancer, and when she was two and a half she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley fell in love with dancing at the age of. Ashley continued to perform competitively throughout high school with top divisions like tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop and many more. Additionally, she was awarded the top awards for soloists in every important dance competitions including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
